Adil actively participates in outreach activities at work including classroom workshops, interactive tabletop exhibitions and talks to large audiences. Adil has also conducted outreach independently, delivering some demonstrations on thermodynamics in the form of a presentation on the states of matter. Feel free to get in contact if you are interested. Adil is always happy to consider any outreach opportunities, especially those targeting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Please get in contact if you would like Adil to speak about his on his research, methane, unmanned aerial vehicles or atmospheric science in general. Adil would also be delighted to get involved in any outreach projects that aim to make science simple and accessible so do get in touch!
In order to communicate science to a general audience, Adil had a year long stint as a radio presenter during his undergraduate degree, where he presented an hour long weekly science programme on Leeds Student Radio. Entitled "Heart of Science", each show featured a different expert from the University of Leeds answering live questions from listeners. Experts were carefully selected to have knowledge, experience and the crucial ability to make science straightforward and substantial. Each show featured a prepared discussion on a complex scientific topic, made accessible to a general, non-scientific audience. These discussions have all been published online and can be found using the below link. Adil also took the opportunity to record some interviews which have also been published online.
